feminist theatre collective

System Error: FEMALE is the first ensemble piece by the MUSE collective.
On the occasion of International Women's Day, MUSE explores the stereotyped roles of women.
THE GIRL (Daniela Kruse)
THE MOTHER (Johanna E. Wekemann)
THE POWER WOMAN (Kristina Schleicher)
THE WIFE (Julia Seewald)
THE BITCH (Moréniké Olalusi)
and THE UNNAMED WOMAN (Violante Romani)
These five stereotypes offer insights into their patterns, strategies, and ways of thinking, which they use to try to survive in patriarchal social structures.
Why do we fulfill the roles imposed upon us? What reinforces them?
What achievements have the waves of feminism brought, and are our role models even relevant anymore?
"We call them power woman, mother, bitch, girl, or wife. But what remains when we stop naming them?" - The Unnamed One
Authors: Julia Seewald and Johanna E. Wekemann
Director: Violante Romani
Stage: Glinde Civic Center

The Muse - Pop Up Theater was transformed into a safe space out of space from October 7th to 12th, 2025, in the satellite building on Mönckebergstraße.
Together with over 180 people in the audience, the muses researched, discussed, debated, wrote and made music about feminist themes in their performances.
On six evenings, the muses invited guests to different performances, all of which had a feminist core.
There was also an exciting supporting program with workshops and social events.
